Rune Tables

The following rune tables are runic learning aids to assist you in acquiring the same comfort with the runes as you have with your own alphabet. These tables encompass the Elder Futhark and are arranged in the three aettar of Freyr, Hagal and Tyr. Although the runes were captured by Odinn, they are really much older than the worship of Odinn. It could be these three groups or families were named for the three Vanir gods that preceeded the worship of Odinn.
