The Poets' Voice
To know and see and hear and feel
without a way to share
means nothing, answers nothing.
Our questions lie unasked.
Nevermind Veracity.
Tis the Mute who must be conquered.
The One whose mouth is stopped
must speak and be heard.
Wherein lie the answers?
Itself, the Question speaks.
Any sound will do at first,
as outward voices reach.

Natural Order
Out of the darkness came thought,
came knowing,
and understanding,
out of the darkness came the light.
I wondered at the sight of it,
the knowing of it
and understanding of it,
yet I never really saw it.
Until I saw the darkness,
really knew the night,
when I understood,
I could only remember the light.

| The Devine One
The brightness of your thought settled down on me today;
I felt your touch in the breeze upon my face.
In the clarity of the sky I perceived your will;
from the essence of trees I knew your ways.
The dew on the grass sustained my faith.
In a spider’s web I experienced awe.
You shared your mirth in a puppy’s play;
in a child’s walk you showered grace.
These common things I understood.
Belief no longer mattered. |
